Hi everyone. Winter has arrived, only unofficially, but it’s here. Frost covers the grass most mornings when I awake. Snowflakes are falling gently outside my window as I write, dusting the town green and the lawn around the church. The season has changed once again and so has the liturgical season. These weeks of Advent [...]

We have many groups that use Wilton Hall and the classrooms. We are pleased that so many groups have found a home at MCC, however, there has been a problem with kitchen clean up. The counters have been left with food and debris. Food has been thrown into the bottle and cardboard recycling bins. We [...]

We now have a modern up to date fire alarm system in all three MCC buildings. The new system meets all code requirements and it may be more sensitive then the old system. Anytime the fire alarm sounds an alarm, “Evacuate the building.” The alarm system will automatically call the Monroe fire department and the [...]
Brothers and sisters in Christ, this is just a quick note from your favorite hero (besides Jesus, of course). I was thrilled to have the opportunity to be with you these past few weeks. Do you remember the myths we busted together? The Myth of Secrecy: Pledging is a private and secret decision. Whatever [...]

When I complained that it was cold in my house, my dad would say, “Of course you’re cold. You’re wearing a t-shirt and it’s winter. Put on a sweater!” Did you know that each degree you turn down the heat saves 3 percent of heating costs, while each degree you raise the temperature of your [...]

Dorothy was not only a 40 year member of MCC, but also a great supporter and active member of the Monroe Historical Society. The Trustees wanted to carry on [...]
